yes, we cannot deny it. summer na nga talga. ang init na kasi eh. You'd know its summer na if kung kakatapos mo lang maligo eh pinagpapawisan ka na. :p tama diba? hay nako. i cant wait na talaga para mag-summer. lapit na kasi eh. in about a week, im gonna be officially off.

Haaay.
summer is almost here and i cant wait. me and julie have been looking for swimsuites and by golly, ang mahal. pero i guess its worth every penny cuz its really cute. :p
a lot of things have happened lately, may masaya, may malungkot rin naman. sna lang na by the time summer rolls by we can try to start a new and try to start our lives all over again. diba?sobrang hassle ng term na to and i guess a lot of people would want this term to end. hay. madami ngang ngyari. ang bilis ng panahon.
anyway, ive been reading a new book, its entitled A Million Little Pieces by James Frey. Its his memoirs about the time he was in rehab. in more ways than one (even though i havent finished the book yet) ive learned how to cope and let go of some of my addictions, too horrifying to mention here. I sent an email yesterday to the author of the book and lo and behold, nagreply siya. i sent him an email saying things like people should not be too critical about his work (because people found out that some of the things written in his memoirs were not true.) and that God has a reason why he was put in rehab.

De La Salle University-Manila's St. Miguel Hall. (miguel as it is known to the CLA people--our home away from home) It is in these halls (especially these two floors) that we came to be what we are right now. STRESSED, HARRASSED and TIRED. Try being in our course and you'd know why. But anyway, we still love this place. Friendships were formed here, so were enemies. Loves were had and gained. Introduction to Biology could be noted as one of the favorite subjects. Dont want to believe me? Hang in the hallway during the 10-minute break in the 3rd floor and you'd know why. Luneta Part two. Mga frosh nga naman talaga oo. :P

Missing the Past Life Hating the New
I just realized that i have become a Geek. Nerd. Smartsy-Fartsy. Well, not that there's anything wrong with being such. Its just that im not really used to studying till my head hurts, staying up till the wee hours in the morning trying to get my revlit straight. You might be thinking that thats how college really is--big eyebags and sore shoulders. No, not me. Im not like that. In FACT, im not used to even studyin.
Im done doing my revlit now in eupogov. Thank GOd. i thought i will never finish that damned thing. I started doing it like a day after we reported on it and because of my being a procrastinator, i just started doing it again yesterday. Am i a loser or what?
We just finished our first exam in INTPHIL and i must say--i think i did a pretty good job. Fairly good job. The first part was the N,P, A or both. I think i labeled it correctly but the other conversions were a blimp. The next part was all about Plato's Cave. I didnt really put my focus on that while i was studying since i didnt think that it would come out. Luckily, the questions that came out were fairly easy to answer. No biggie. The last part WAS A STEAL! I swear, if i hadnt studied the test i took when i was in first year, i wouldnt have a clue on what to answer. I really thank God that i was able to understand (not only memorize) the latter. Kre, thank you for helping me study! :p

Death Becomes Her
Death by far is one of the topics that i rarely discuss with anybody. Its a soft subject for me. To some people it might be ok to dish out all the gory details of how a person died or what its state was after it died...actually, im one of them. But im trying to be honest here..and i can honestly say that i feel a bit uncomfortable talking about it.
Today was something else. Ok, so the first version of this story was this one: There was a guy and a girl (Ill call the girl D the guy S). Apparently, they were a couple. D was the Executive Manager of the McDonalds beside La Salle and S was the same thing only in another McDo. After that, S approached the counter where D working and suddenly shot D twice. Obviously, everyone panicked and ran out of the place as quickly as possible. Now if youre an ordinary person, chances are, youd be in shock. Well, he wasnt. He was thinking "clearly" to the point na he went up to the roofdeck (and out of frustration for the loss of his girl and out of confusion as well) and shoots himself in the head. The girl didnt make it to the hospital. She died while she was being taken to the Sanctuario.
Pretty scary huh? I actually saw the blood and all cuz from the third floor of the LS building, you could see the roofdeck of Mcdo. There were a lot of people: media, police, Crew people and SOCO. Its a pretty huge thing in that area since its near a major university and the lives of a lot of Lassalians would be at stake if the incident a while ago got out of hand. Cherry told me that the people inside Mcdo were lucky. If the S was in a really bad mood, she would'nt be the only death that the people would be crying for. He could've shot all the other people that were INSIDE the store. I mean, think about it. It would look something like the Columbine high incident in the states where a lot of students (and teachers) died after they were being held hostage. GRABE NO? The people were lucky. Really Lucky.
The real scoop was that D and S were in a meeting. S was being scolded and D was promoted (i think) or something like that. Obviously that pissed S off sooooo bad. He got jealous and shot D twice. Everything went blank for her after that.
To all my friends reading this:
Please be careful. Our world is not a safe place to be in anymore. We think nothing too drastic will happen to us since we are sheltered and protected--even in school. But thats what we think. We tend to belittle everything around us and shrug it off. But thats sooo wrong. We should be aware of whats happening around us, good or bad. We'll never know...we might be in the same situation as that of D. If you were in her position, what would you have done?
