Japanese Men and DimSum
We went to Tambuli Beach Club in Mactan yesterday for a day of sun, surf and then some. I was oh so ready to hit the beach but was faced dead-on with huge disappointment. IT WAS CLOUDY. fack. IT WAS LOW-TIDE. shyet. I figured that i wont ruin my day just because it wasnt what i expected. Tita Jill, our very generous tita who always makes it a point that our stay in tambuli was the best, wasnt there so she prepared everything before she left. From our entrance to our buffet lunch (the squid is SUPERB! ill talk about this later.), she got everything covered. My other tita, (my mom's brother's wife) and my cousin Hannah tagged along too since they have nothing else to do. Hannah was pretty excited when we left the house but was sourly disappointed when she saw that there were lots of kids (the little boys in swim trunks got her attention. Mana kay ate kits...hehehehe.) and that they were near the stairs, which is the only place she stays. I took a deep breath and volunteered to jump in the pool since it might convince hannah to jump too. IT WAS FREEEEEEZING!!!! brr. in the end, she still didnt jump in the pool cuz there were still boys around.
Anyways. going back to the buffet. IT WAS SOOOO YUMMY! i told u, everytime i go to cebu all i ever do is EAT EAT EAT, it sucks really. While we were eating, there were these two Japanese men who arrived and sat about three tables away from us. while they sat and talked, they were so PRIM AND PROPER! gosh, it was like they had boards stuck to their backs or something. after a while a group of songers came and sang a couple of songs for them. IT WAS WEIRD. they sang and sang and sang and sang and sang for these two japanese men..they mustve stayed there for, what 40 minutes? LOL!
We were on our way home when Gabby piped in that she was hungry. God, u know what my dad said? "Tara, dimsum tayo.." u know what happened next.

anyways, CHRISTMAS DAY. as usual, all we ever did was eat, eat and eat some more. Now, come to think of it, isnt it one of the worst days to be thin and LOOK thin? gosh, its like every five hours youre eating. And its just not the picka-picka type. HELL NO! its the EAT TILL YOUR STOMACH RIPS IN TWO type! im not kiddin! but in all the fairness, the "parties" that i have been to here in Cebu have been quite the experience. I never had lechon for four straight days.. its INSANE!

--WhAt i Got For ChrisTmaS-->
hmm...strange as it may seem for anybody who lived in the capital city for almost all her life, getting scared of loud fireworks at christmas is truly a Cebu tradition. At exactly 9pm last night, i had to literally force myself to sleep and hide under covers for fear that the loud firecrackers would go inside my room. It was like NEW YEAR!! But as my dad told me over and over last night, "Thats how cebu is, gotta love it!". I woke up around 4:59am to the sound of outkast's Heya blaring on our neighbors surround sound karaoke. God, i really wanted to get a rifle and shoot the damned machine up. When i finally had the chance to sleep, it was already 6am. *sigh*
Well, this is what i got for christmas:
1. a starbucks planner
2. moonflower perfume from bodyshop
3. a big tummy from all the eating for the past week.
4. a new puppy (golden lab--actually my dad's but you know how it goes!) named Chippy
5. scratches to go with it
6. shopping spree from Bayo
7. learning Bianca's big secret
8. new flipflops
9. new bag
10. new happy feet..the one where the straps are detachable
11. a new knack for writing in this blog
12. sore throat from eating too much sweets
13. headaches after eating from this WONDERFUL dimsum place in Ayala and SM called Harbour city.. (gotta love their fried wanton, stuffed shrimp and cabbage rolls!!!)
14. last but not the least, a new found love. >not really sure though if it is indeed all true since the whole thing still seems surreal. But i honestly am fallin for him. : P

ChriStMas Bloopers--anD then some.
24th of december. christmas eve right?? well, not for me. i dunno if im really turning into a grouch but it seems as if i dont feel any christmas-sy feeling i usually get--like "warm and fuzzy". weird but true. Its been a while since i wrote down somethin here..but i figured, the reason why i have this blog is for me to use it everytime i log on the net..which is everyday, so why not save some ink and waste some electricity? LOLZ..but seriously, i think that spending some time with this monster of a gadget wont hurt a bit. Take my mom for instance, i dunno what got into her, but suddenly she saw the importance of the internet. God.
gotta run. im making my tita a new friendster account. go figure.
